Engineered Hardwood

Real-wood engineered floors from 30+ collections — free samples, free delivery, FloorScore certified, 15-year warranty.

Engineered hardwood is SK Flooring's flagship line: a genuine hardwood wear layer over a stable layered core, giving Phoenix homes real wood beauty that behaves on concrete slabs and in air-conditioned desert interiors. Our engineered collections sit within a 30+ collection catalog and carry the documentation serious projects require — FloorScore certification, CARB2 compliance and published installation and maintenance guides.

As a wholesale supplier, we sell engineered hardwood to contractors, retailers and homeowners alike, with the two services that make wholesale painless: up to 5 free samples shipped within 3 business days, and free delivery. A 15-year warranty stands behind the floor.

What You Get with Our Engineered Hardwood

Real wood wear layers

Genuine hardwood surfaces — the look, feel and refinishability of wood, stated honestly by thickness.

30+ collections behind it

Engineered hardwood anchors a 30+ collection catalog, from natural oaks to dark statement floors.

Certifications published

FloorScore and CARB2 documentation available for your project file — not marketing claims, documents.

Free samples first

Up to 5 free samples shipped in 3 business days. Real wood decisions are made at home, not in a warehouse.

Free delivery

Delivery included — your project lands when the schedule needs it.

15-year warranty

Warranty coverage published for our flooring, with the engineered hardwood warranty document available.

Options & Materials

Engineered hardwood selection turns on three honest numbers: wear-layer thickness (2mm decorative, 3–4mm+ refinishable), plank dimensions (wide and long planks cost more and look calmer), and species/finish (natural oak at one end, dark stained statement floors at the other). Installation guides for our lines are published documents — glue, float or staple per the guide and your subfloor. Order samples of your shortlist: real wood varies plank to plank, and a sample board in your light settles arguments a screen cannot.

How the Job Works, Step by Step

  1. 1

    Consultation & product selection

Tell us what your project needs — sizes, quantities, performance requirements and timeline. We help you pick the right products from our range and confirm code and engineering questions up front.

  2. 2

    Written quote & order

You receive an itemized written quote. Once approved, the order is placed and you get a confirmed pickup or delivery window, so your crew schedule stays on track.

  3. 3

    Quality check

Every order is checked against the quote before it leaves: sizes, handing, finishes and hardware counts. Mistakes are far cheaper to catch here than on your job site.

  4. 4

    Pickup or delivery

Collect from our location or have the order delivered to your site. Our team helps load and confirms the count with you or your crew on the spot.

  5. 5

    After-sale support

Questions after delivery — installation guidance, documentation for inspections, warranty paperwork — are answered by the same team that took your order. One call, no phone tree.

Care & Maintenance

Engineered hardwood cares like solid wood: felt pads, grit control, no wet mopping. Keep indoor humidity reasonably steady (Phoenix air conditioning swings are the enemy of all wood), wipe spills promptly, and use cleaners made for wood floors. Keep the maintenance guide for your collection — we supply the document with your order — and keep spare planks for future repairs.

What Affects the Price?

No two homes in Phoenix are the same, so honest pricing starts with a look at your actual project. These are the factors that move the number most:

  • Species and wear-layer thickness
  • Plank width, length and grade
  • Collection and finish — wire-brushed, matte, stained
  • Quantity — wholesale tiers reward full-project orders
  • Delivery distance and schedule

For general planning numbers, see our Price Guide — those are market ranges, not our prices. Your exact, written price comes free with your quote: call (623) 313-2721.

Engineered Hardwood — Frequently Asked Questions

What does 'wear layer' mean on engineered hardwood?+

It refers to the real-wood top layer's thickness. Thicker wear layers (3mm+) can be refinished in the future and last longer; thinner layers are decorative only. We state the wear layer for every collection — no guessing.

Can I get samples before ordering?+

Yes — samples are the point of our offer. Order up to 5 free samples and they ship within 3 business days so you can check color and texture in your own light.

Is engineered hardwood suitable over concrete?+

Yes. Engineered construction is stable over properly prepared slabs, which is exactly why it leads our catalog. Follow the installation guide for your line (we supply it) including moisture checks.

How is engineered different from your SPC?+

SPC is fully waterproof and often the better kitchen/bath choice; engineered hardwood is real wood with the look and refinishability SPC cannot match. Many projects use both — wood in living areas, SPC in wet zones.

How much do engineered hardwood cost?+

The honest answer is that it depends on size, material and the condition of the existing opening. Beware of anyone who quotes a firm price without measuring. SK Flooring measures first and then gives you a written quote with the full price — free — so you can compare it properly.

How long does a typical engineered hardwood project take?+

Measuring and ordering take the first part of the timeline; the on-site work for most homes is completed in a day. Larger or custom projects take longer, and we give you the schedule in writing before you commit, so you can plan around it.

Do you offer free estimates?+

Yes — call (623) 313-2721 and we will arrange a free consultation and written quote. There is no obligation and no pressure to decide on the spot.

Do you serve my part of Phoenix?+

SK Flooring serves the areas listed on our Service Areas page. If your neighborhood is close to a listed area but not named, call us — we will tell you straight away whether we can reach you.

What should I prepare before installation day?+

Clear the area around each opening, take down curtains or blinds if we are not replacing them, and move fragile items away from the work zone. Our team protects floors and furniture, and removes the old units and packaging when the job is done.

Can engineered hardwood be customized for unusual sizes or shapes?+

In most cases, yes. Arches, angled tops, oversized openings and out-of-square frames are measured individually and made or ordered to fit. Bring us the awkward opening — it is usually the one that benefits most from a custom solution.

What information helps my quote be accurate?+

Rough measurements (width × height in inches), a photo of each opening, and a note about what you want to change. Send those when you call (623) 313-2721 and your written quote will be faster and closer to the final number.

What happens if something is not right after the job?+

Call us. SK Flooring stands behind its work: if something we supplied or installed is not right, we come back and make it right. That is how a local business keeps its name — one fixed problem at a time.
